Located near the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Fitzsimons Innovation Community, the residence was transformed with a distinctly contemporary aesthetic—balancing clean architectural lines with warmer materials and highly functional living spaces.

Design + Technical Approach

The interior was developed around a cohesive material palette of wide-plank flooring, large-format tile, contemporary cabinetry, architectural lighting, and durable commercial-grade finishes.

Flooring and finish transitions were carefully coordinated to create visual continuity throughout the home, while contrasting textures and darker architectural accents provide definition and depth.

Bathrooms incorporate large-format tile, streamlined fixtures, modern vanities, and carefully considered surface detailing to create a clean, spa-inspired environment while prioritizing durability and ease of maintenance.

The kitchen serves as a central architectural element, combining modern cabinetry, expansive work surfaces, integrated storage, and a simplified material palette designed to keep the space visually clean and functional.

Lighting was treated as part of the architecture rather than an afterthought. Recessed illumination, decorative fixtures, and targeted task lighting work together to create depth, improve functionality, and highlight key finishes throughout the residence.

The floor plan creates distinct living zones while maintaining an open, connected feeling—allowing the home to accommodate entertaining, everyday family life, guests, and greater privacy when desired.

Every visible element was considered as part of a larger composition—from tile scale and flooring direction to cabinetry proportions, fixture placement, color contrast, and the relationship between adjoining spaces.
